據贊比亞報紙《Daily Mail of Zambia》周四報導,中國中輝國際礦業(yè)集團(Zhonghui Mining Group)已經與贊比亞政府簽署協(xié)議,將向贊比亞的銅礦帶和西北部地區(qū)的多個礦產項目投資36億美元.
該報稱,中輝國際礦業(yè)集團將為這些項目擬定一份實施框架,這些項目預計將帶來34,000個就業(yè)機會.
該報援引中輝國際礦業(yè)集團總裁Charles Shi的話稱,在贊比亞西北部地區(qū)的勘探工作已經展開,公司還為獲得銅礦帶的經營許可而提交了申請.贊比亞大量的銅礦和鈷礦都集中在這兩個省份.
自2004年以來,中資企業(yè)一直在收購贊比亞的礦業(yè)資產.

Chinese firm clinches mining deal

GOVERNMENT has signed an Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (IPPA) with Zhonghui Mining Group of China that has committed to invest US$3.6 billion in mining projects on the Copperbelt and North-Western provinces.
The project is expected to create about 34,000 jobs.
Speaking at the signing ceremony in Lusaka yesterday, Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister, Felix Mutati described the investment by Zhonghui mining as one of China's largest private sector investment in southern Africa.
