Abstract：Ore-controlling efects of NWW trending faults in Dayin’gezhuang gold deposit，Shan dong province，have been studied based on the geological study an d statistical an alysis．The results show that the Dayin’gezhuang Fault(DF)plays an obvious role in controling the mineralizing styles，strengths and ore body occurrences．It is revealed that，the No．II ore bodies north to the NW trending DF are dominated by gold mineralization，while the No．I ore bodies south to the DF are significan dy superposed by following silver mineralization．In addition．gold mineralization has also been f0und in the DF itself．These studies may be of a great importance to the ore genesis and prospecting in this area．
